Gorey School of Art is a hive of creative activity. Students and staff promote a wide range of activities within a positive atmosphere. New ideas are always encouraged and developed through studio based projects, one-to-one tutorials, which are professionally relevant and current. We are a small, highly focused school with a staff of practicing artists from around the country. The School is located in a rural community with access to internationally recognised artists. Students flourish through project based blocks that allow for the development of artistic identities with an investigative sense that fosters current, innovative and critical thinking.
As a prospective student, visitor or supporter of the School, we have an open-door policy for interested parties to visit the studios and staff during opening hours.

“I did the portfolio preparation course at Gorey School of Art. The time I spent there gave me the confidence and ability to further my studies at IADT. Because of the intimate size of the college, everyone there had a great opportunity to really learn from the tutors. The projects I did there prepared me for college work I would be doing in the future. As well as that I made some of my best friends on the course. Now I am really enjoying my second year in Dun Laoghaire and with no doubt at all I can say I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the tutors at Gorey School of Art.” Paddy Mc Loughlin
