Workshop Summary

Join photographer, tutor, and cinematographer Simon Bates for a series of four engaging workshops (3 hours each) exploring filmmaking as a tool for community, creativity, and self-expression.

Each session focuses on a different group and theme — from LGBTQ+ youth at risk , to individuals with disabilities and mental health issues, and migrants and refugees.

Through hands-on activities in storytelling, filming, editing, and group discussions, participants will build confidence, creative skills, and connections while producing meaningful short films. Everyone is welcome!
